I am really happy with being an online student. I have the capabilities of being a stay at home mom of two boys, and yet I am getting an education. I entered into the online classes not thinking much about it. I didn’t think that there would be much to do, but was I wrong. I have just as much to do, if not more, than I would in a traditional class setting. There are times that I feel like it is too much, but I know that I can push forward and succeed. I like that I have the ability to do it when I have available time, and I can work it around my boys schedule too. There are times though that I wish there was more direction for me to follow. I feel that the classes are so free and self directed that it is hard to stay focused and keep on track. I think that having questions for all classmates to answer during seminar makes the class more of a community. With these questions we are able to get to know one another and talk about our lives. Overall online classes have been a very positive experience. I wouldn’t want to change and go back to a traditional class setting. I love the flexibility and challenges online classes offer.
